DICE Announce That Battlefield Hardline Will Not Be Available Until 2015

DICE VP & Group General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson has announced that Battlefield Hardline has been delayed until “early” 2015.

After receiving a lot of feedback from the Beta they admit they need the extra time to ensure everything is delivered. They also admit that the feedback has also spurred them to start thinking about other possibilities and ways they could push Hardline innovation further and make the game even better.

Most telling was the statement…

We have learned a lot from Battlefield 4, are continuing to learn from our Community Test Environment and will learn more from another Hardline beta.

And by that they mean that the additional time will give them to ensure the game is in a much better state upon release than Battlefield 4 was.

Interestingly, though, was the fact this came from DICE and not Visceral, who are the actual developers of Hardline.
