Lumphini Garden in Real Life

Have you ever wondered what the real places behind the Battlefield 4 maps looked like? As part of an on-going series of articles, we investigate each of the Battlefield 4 maps in detail, finding out where they originate from and what they really look like.

Lumphini Garden (Thai: สวนลุมพินี), from the Dragon’s Teeth DLC, is based upon Lumphini Park, a 142-acre park in Bangkok, Thailand.

Lumpini Park was created in the 1920s by King Rama VI and a statue of the king stands at the south-western entrance to the park.

It was named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha in Nepal, and at the time of its creation stood on the outskirts of the city. Today it lies in the heart of the main business district.
